Apple announces battery price increases. But DEJI batteries do not increase in price!

In January of this year, Apple’s official website released a message, which read: Starting March 1, the battery replacement fee for all older iPhone models launched before 2022 will increase by $20.
Previously, using the estimating calculator on Apple's website, I'd come up with a battery replacement charge of $69 for most iPhone models, but tomorrow, after March, that price will increase to $89.

Which Apple device batteries will increase in price?

The batteries of all Apple devices go up.

The battery price increase will also apply to older iPhones, some iPads, MacBook laptops, and in some international markets. MacBook Air battery replacements will add $30, and MacBook Pro batteries will add $50. The price of the newer iPad models will increase by $20, and these price changes will go into effect on March 1.

And Apple China’s official website announced that the service fee for out-of-warranty batteries for all iPhone models before iPhone 14 will increase by 169 yuan. The increase is as high as 47%.

Specifically, full-screen iPhone: iPhone X-iPhone 13 series (X, 11, 12, 13) rose from 519 yuan to 688 yuan; non-full-screen iPhone: iPhone SE-iPhone 8 series (SE, 6, 7, 8 ) from 359RMB to 528RMB.

Among them, the full-screen iPhone battery price increased by 33%, and the non-full-screen iPhone increased by as much as 47%.

For Mac, the battery service fee for MacBook Air out of warranty will increase by 290RMB, and for all MacBook and MacBook Pro models, the service fee for out-of-warranty battery will increase by 480RMB.

In addition, some iPad models will also increase in price simultaneously, and the out-of-warranty battery service fee will increase by 149RMB. Models include: 12.9-inch iPad Pro (5th generation and earlier models), 11-inch iPad Pro (3rd generation and later models) earlier models), 10.5-inch iPad Pro, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, iPad mini (6th generation and earlier), and iPad Air (5th generation and earlier).

Why Are Apple Device Batteries Rising in Price?

It's worth noting that the price increase will only affect those customers who don't have AppleCare or AppleCare+. As long as AppleCare+ is used, customers can get their batteries replaced for free once their battery health drops by more than 80%.

There may be two reasons for Apple to increase the price of battery replacement:
On the one hand, it may be affected by the price increase in the supply chain.
On the other hand, there are many third-party platforms that can use Apple's official repair materials to replace iPhone batteries and other services. Apple hopes to use this to attract users to third-party platforms to repair iPhones and reduce order pressure.
Secondly, you can earn the maintenance cost of the iPhone battery outside the warranty period and increase revenue.

Does the iPhone battery have to be replaced?

We all know that the iPhone battery will age when it is reduced to about 80%, mainly in the following aspects:
1. Charge and discharge quickly. Charging is fast, but at the same time power down is also fast, or charging is slow and power down is fast.
